Millions of Facebook business page admins have recently been experiencing a substantial increase in the number of direct messages from users (scammers) posing as \u2018Facebook\u2019 or parent company, \u2018Meta\u2019, threatening to ban their account. Beware as they may also pose as \u2018customers\u2019 claiming to have bought from you.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is known as <\/span>Meta Business Suite scam<\/span>s. Messages from these <\/span>Facebook page scams<\/span> include false claims that try to trick you into handing over important business information. The ultimate goal of these scammers is to take control of your profiles, steal sensitive information or use these to gain access to other accounts you may hold.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>the <\/span>National Anti-Scam Centre<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> in 2023 alone there has already been 209,466 reports of common scams and a total of $367,553,759 stolen.
